[TI Voyage 200] Can not solve equation for x

Hey there,
I have problems solving this equation for x:
solve(p2s/p1s=exp((1-x1)^2*a12+2*(a21-a12)*x1)/(exp(x1^2*(a21+2*(a12-a21)*(1-x1)))),x1)
For p1s=1.08; p2s=1.01; a12=0,29899; a21=0,0.48813 the result for x1 should be 0,501
but all I get is this:exp(.37828*x1^2*(x1+.29039335941631))-1.0693069306931*exp(.29899*x1^2-.2197*x1+.29899)=0 or exp(.37828*x1^2*(x1+.29039335941631))=∞ ̧ or exp(.37828*x1^2*(x1+.29039335941631))= -∞
Is the use of solve() wrong and I should use something else like approx() (well, this is not working but you get the point)Is there an other setting I have to change (already tried to set the calculator to EXACT and APPROXIMATE.
